Foundational

ISO 9001:2015

Quality Management

Scope

The foundational quality management system standard. Defines risk-based thinking, process approach, and continual improvement — the minimum quality baseline expected of any serious manufacturer.

Why it matters for FQC customers

Every serious customer procurement starts by verifying ISO 9001. For PCB fabrication, it ensures consistent process control from CCL cutting through inner-layer imaging, lamination, drilling, plating, and final QC. Without it, you cannot bid for any tier-1 or OEM work.

What gets audited

Document control, management review, internal audits, corrective action, supplier control, calibration records, training records, customer complaint handling.

Environment

ISO 14001:2015

Environmental Management

Scope

Environmental management system standard. Establishes controls for chemical use, wastewater, emissions, solid waste, and energy consumption — required by every Japanese and European OEM for supplier qualification.

Why it matters for FQC customers

PCB fabrication uses strong acids, alkaline etchants, copper plating baths, and generates large wastewater volumes. FQC's 1,500 t/day wastewater treatment and inline copper recovery capabilities are audited under this standard. No ISO 14001 = no Japanese or European supply chain access.

What gets audited

Environmental impact assessment, legal compliance register, emergency response, wastewater treatment records, chemical inventory, hazardous waste manifests, energy consumption tracking.

Safety

ISO 45001:2018

Occupational Health & Safety

Scope

Occupational health and safety management system. Replaced OHSAS 18001 in 2021. Defines hazard identification, risk control, and worker consultation processes — now the global baseline for plant safety.

Why it matters for FQC customers

PCB fabrication involves concentrated acids and bases, solvent exposure, CNC and laser drilling hazards, and cleanroom air quality control. ISO 45001 ensures systematic hazard tracking, worker training, and incident response — reducing both human risk and customer supply chain disruption.

What gets audited

Hazard registers, PPE programs, chemical safety data sheets, emergency drills, incident investigation records, worker consultation meeting minutes, occupational health surveillance.

Automotive

IATF 16949:2016

Automotive Quality

Scope

The automotive industry quality management standard — built on top of ISO 9001 with additional requirements for APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and MSA. Administered jointly by AIAG (North America), VDA (Germany), FIEV (France), SMMT (UK), and ANFIA (Italy).

Why it matters for FQC customers

No IATF 16949 = no automotive supply, period. Every Tier-1 supplier and OEM worldwide requires it. FQC maintains IATF-compliant production across all lines, which is what enables ~37% automotive revenue share at the parent company. Covers PPAP Level 3, run-at-rate, and 8D corrective action workflows.

What gets audited

APQP phase gates, PPAP submissions, PFMEA/DFMEA linkage, control plans, MSA studies, SPC charts, run-at-rate verification, layered process audits, 8D corrective actions, customer-specific requirements (CSRs).

Medical

ISO 13485:2016

Medical Devices QMS

Scope

Quality management system specifically for medical device manufacturing and its supply chain. Regulatory requirement for CE-marked and FDA 510(k) products — stricter traceability, risk management, and document retention than ISO 9001.

Why it matters for FQC customers

Required for PCBs destined for medical instruments — imaging equipment, diagnostic analyzers, patient monitors. Customers in this segment typically include Shimadzu and Yokogawa-class analytical-equipment makers. Demands serial-level traceability and 10+ year record retention that automotive-only fabs cannot provide.

What gets audited

Design control, risk file (ISO 14971 link), UDI compliance, post-market surveillance, CAPA, complaint investigation, validation master plan, cleanroom particulate counts, device master records.

Halogen-Free

IECQ QC080000:2017

Hazardous Substance Process Management

Scope

Hazardous substance process management standard published by the IEC Quality Assessment System for Electronic Components. Ensures RoHS, REACH, halogen-free, and customer-specific hazardous substance requirements are controlled at the process level, not just tested at the end.

Why it matters for FQC customers

Critical for EU export (CE mark) and Japanese green procurement. Large Japanese FA customers (Panasonic, Omron, Keyence-class buyers) require QC080000 on top of RoHS declarations to guarantee zero halogen, zero antimony, zero red phosphorus in final boards — something end-of-line XRF testing alone cannot assure.

What gets audited

Incoming material certifications, HSF (hazardous substance-free) BOM control, cross-contamination prevention, dedicated lines or purge procedures, XRF spot checks, supplier HSF declarations, lot-level traceability.

InfoSec

ISO/IEC 27001:2022

Information Security

Scope

Information security management system standard. The 2022 revision restructures controls around organizational, people, physical, and technological domains. Proves that customer-entrusted information is handled under documented access, encryption, and incident-response controls.

Why it matters for FQC customers

Rare among PCB fabs — a genuine FQC differentiator. Customer designs (Gerber files, BOMs, schematics, impedance stackups) are valuable IP; leakage can destroy competitive position. For AI server, defense, and automotive ADAS customers worried about design exfiltration to competing fabs or state actors, ISO/IEC 27001 is a gating requirement.

What gets audited

Access control policies, encryption at rest and in transit, secure software development, supplier security assessments, incident response plans, physical server room controls, log retention, annual penetration tests.

Carbon

ISO 14064:2018

Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Scope

Greenhouse gas accounting and verification standard. Part 1 covers organization-level GHG inventories (Scope 1, 2, 3); Part 2 covers project-level reductions; Part 3 covers third-party verification. Enables credible GHG disclosures to customers and regulators.

Why it matters for FQC customers

Increasingly required by EU CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and by large brands with net-zero commitments. FQC's ISO 14064 certification lets customers count our reported emissions directly into their Scope 3 inventories without re-auditing — a real benefit as automotive OEMs and electronics brands tighten supplier CO2 disclosure requirements through 2030.

What gets audited

GHG inventory boundaries, activity data, emission factors, uncertainty assessment, quality management, third-party verification statements, reduction project baselines.

Aerospace (EU)

EN 9100:2018

Aerospace Quality

Scope

European aerospace quality management standard. Built on ISO 9001 with aerospace-specific additions for configuration management, first-article inspection, counterfeit-parts prevention, and product safety. Direct equivalent of US AS9100D and Japanese JIS Q 9100.

Why it matters for FQC customers

Enables European aerospace and defense PCB supply. Covers Airbus tier-2/3, Safran, Leonardo, Thales tier work. Honest disclosure: EN 9100 is the European equivalent — it is not AS9100D (US) and is not a substitute for ITAR registration. Customers with AS9100D-specific or US defense requirements should confirm equivalence with their own quality team.

What gets audited

Configuration management, first-article inspection (FAI), counterfeit-part prevention plan, product safety program, risk management, special processes qualification, supplier control.

Why This Matters

Why certifications matter

Certifications aren't marketing — they're production requirements. Every cert above represents an audited capability that lets FQC serve a specific class of customer. Without IATF, no auto. Without ISO 13485, no medical. With all nine, FQC can bid for AI server, automotive, medical, industrial, aerospace (European), and EU-green-procurement work on the same production line.
