Round PCB Board

A printed circuit board manufactured to a circular outline rather than the usual rectangular or square shape. The round form factor matches the housings of cylindrical and disc-shaped products, where a rectangular board would either waste space or require trimming on the assembly line. Routing the board to a precise circle in panel form needs CNC profiling and panelization that account for the curved edge clearance, but no special copper or substrate stack-up is required, so cost stays close to a standard rigid PCB of the same area. Typical uses include round LED lighting fixtures, smartwatches and other wearables, headphone driver boards, microphones, ceiling sensor pods, smoke detectors, and any consumer electronics with a circular housing where space utilization and assembly fit drive the choice of board shape.
