
A 6-layer hybrid rigid-flex PCB combining S1000-2M FR-4 with IF-2LD flexible film at 1.1±0.11mm rigid thickness, finished with ENIG. The flex bridge eliminates wire harnesses between rigid sub-boards, allowing the assembly to fold into joints, end-effectors, and rotating modules of industrial robots, collaborative robots, and AGV chassis. The hybrid stack supports motor driver power planes, encoder feedback signals, real-time fieldbus interfaces such as EtherCAT and CANopen, and onboard MCU-based motion control on a single integrated PCB. Bend reliability is engineered for repeated articulation cycles required in 24/7 production lines. Typical use cases include 6-axis industrial robot arms, SCARA assembly heads, AGV motion controllers, surgical robot subsystems, and automated test handlers. Production requires sequential lamination, controlled etch on the flex layer, and bend-radius validation per IPC-2223 to ensure long-term mechanical and electrical reliability.
