
A 4-layer power PCB on S1000-2MB FR-4 with an embedded copper bar, 1.9±0.19mm thick, with inner-layer finished copper of at least 400μm. The embedded copper bar runs through the inner stack as a solid metal conductor, giving the design a very high current path that no thickness of plated copper would deliver, while the surrounding standard layers carry control and gate-drive signals at normal density. With ≥400μm inner copper, the same board can move tens to hundreds of amps of DC and pulsed current with low voltage drop and low temperature rise, which is exactly the duty profile of factory-automation drives and high-power conversion stages. Typical fits are factory-automation servo and inverter drive boards, EV onboard charger and DC-DC stages, industrial robot joint drives, energy-storage power stages, and high-power motor controller boards.
