CEM-3 Rigid PCB

A rigid PCB on CEM-3 laminate, a composite epoxy material with woven glass fabric on the surface and non-woven glass mat in the core, sitting between paper-based CEM-1 and full-glass FR-4 in cost and performance. CEM-3 punches cleanly, drills cleanly, and supports plated through-holes, which makes it suitable for double-sided consumer electronics where FR-4 is overkill but CEM-1 cannot support PTH. Mechanical and thermal performance is sufficient for low-power, room-temperature consumer use, and the lower laminate cost shows up directly in the BOM. Typical uses are LED lighting boards, white-goods control panels, smart-home modules, low-end audio products, IoT sensors, and other consumer electronics where the design is double-sided but the operating environment is benign.
