
A 4-layer S1000-2M PCB at 1.6±0.16mm finished thickness, with 70um inner-layer copper and at least 35um outer-layer copper. The heavy inner copper carries the high transient currents drawn by an oil pump motor and helps spread thermal load away from the gate driver and current-sense circuitry. S1000-2M provides the thermal headroom and CTE stability needed under the hood, where the board sees long heat soak, thermal cycling, vibration, and oil mist. The outer copper supports plated through-holes that take both signal and power, and the 4-layer routing keeps the control loop tight enough for closed-loop pump speed control. Typical applications include engine oil pump drivers, EV thermal-management pumps, industrial fluid pump controllers, power-electronics subassemblies, and automotive instrumentation modules.
