
A 2-layer 5G antenna PCB on WL-CT440 high-speed laminate, 1.85±0.185mm thick. The substrate has a stable, low dielectric constant and low loss tangent across the sub-6 GHz 5G NR bands, which is what keeps gain flat and radiation pattern predictable for the printed patch and array elements. The 2-layer construction puts the radiating elements on the top copper and a continuous reference ground plane on the bottom copper, the simplest stackup that still gives a clean impedance environment for the feed network and matches well to compact antenna geometries. The 1.85mm thickness is mechanically robust enough for handheld and outdoor module use. Typical fits are 5G CPE antenna boards, fixed-wireless-access router antennas, IoT gateway antennas, smart-home hub antennas, and panel antennas inside outdoor small-cell radio units.
