1-Layer Flexible Printed Circuit Board

A single-layer flexible printed circuit board built on polyimide laminate with a single copper layer, intended for cost-sensitive interconnect applications between rigid PCBs, low-cost connectors, and high-density routing in compact products. Typical roles include lead-line connections between adjacent rigid boards, low-cost movable circuits in handheld devices, simple keypad bus lines, and flexible jumpers in mass-market consumer electronics. The single-copper construction is the lowest-cost flex variant, and is well suited to applications where signal density is moderate and the dominant requirement is mechanical bend tolerance rather than impedance control or shielding. Manufacturing uses rolled-annealed copper imaging on polyimide, coverlay or screen-printed dielectric protection, and laser cutting to drop-in form factors that match the host enclosure routing path.
