Why is Rework Prohibited

Why is rework prohibited? Because rework has potential quality risk.

Hidden danger is more dangerous than open fire, prevention is more important than disaster relief, and responsibility is more important than Mount Tai.

For example, if the tool is broken during drilling, the usual practice is to mark the original position, change the drill bit to drill again. However, the standard of Sihui Fushi is to deal with defects and not to drill again. Why should we deal with it in this way? There are many reasons why the drill bit is broken, which may be caused by the contact of foreign matters on the board, or the abnormal vibration of the drill bit itself or the main shaft. If the cutter itself is broken or notched before the break, it may cause the hole roughness or aperture unqualified before the break. After copper plating, because the hole wall roughness is too large, the hole copper is not uniform and fractured, resulting in abnormality of PCB broken line.

Although this probability is very small, 1% defect in PCB factory is 100% quality problem for customers. To ensure safety and keep responsibilities in mind, Sihui Fushi chooses to discard the board.

President Liu stressed repeatedly that if any abnormality is found in the process, the cost of immediate scrapping is the lowest. The later the process, the higher the cost. If the goods are shipped to the customer, it will be dozens of times more expensive. Rework is completely unnecessary and the gain is not worth the loss.

Without hesitation, discard the board immediately and focus on investigating the real cause of the abnormality.
